Here’s what happens when you give people a bit of freedom...

Hello, friends! I feel obliged to share this with you because, as you know, people are naturally curious, and yellow tabloids are their morning coffee. It's a shame Edgars Skulte didn’t live to see this – because once, over a glass of wine, he told me it would make for a great book: "From Courier to Advertising Agency."

Yes, I was once a courier for DDB Worldwide. Back then, Edgars and I thought it was absolutely hilarious.

Here’s what happens when you give people a bit of freedom...

Under the somewhat almost serious name EUCOW Creative, the foundation has decided to launch an advertising agency. But this is not just any advertising agency. Oh no, my friends. That would be far too boring. This is a rebellious advertising agency. Like your dog when he hears the word "vet."

Apparently, the idea is to throw all the advertising industry rules as we know them straight out the window. Will it work? I have no idea. But I reckon the whole process will be as unpredictable as a 1992 Volvo that somehow ends up on a racetrack. Utter chaos, but you just can’t look away.

They promise to be creative. Radical. Maybe even a little crazy. It sounds like something that could end not just with an ad but with a small fire.

So, if you want an ad that grabs attention, this might just be the agency for you. Just make sure to put on a helmet, because if something goes wrong (and trust me, it definitely will), there’s going to be a lot of noise.
